The octopus or “octipies” acts as a calming aid: The tentacles replicate the umbilical cord, which babies hold onto in the womb. With the tentacles to hold, NICU babies are less likely to pull out tubes and essential monitoring equipment cables that are attached to their bodies

These Octipies are made from 100% cotton localy produced wool. This means that should baby start to suck or chew on it there will be no wool residue left in the baby's mouth.

They come in a range of colours, some with bows and others with tiny hats. Feel free to chop and change. More colours available on request.
